About

John King

Some workworking hobbies or experiments besides the fire tables, beer signs and lightboxes include.

  • Created/stacked a holz hausen.
  • Handmaking cedar shakes with a froe. Used the shakes to cover 2 wood sheds.
  • Built a shave horse to finish and flatten the shakes.
  • Built a wood shed with a resin river roof over the front.
  • Created a resin river table top.
  • Built an erosion stream table with 4 grades of different colored sand.
  • Lots and lots of kindling splitting.

I have been in the web design industry since 1999 in Oregon and Alaska. In 2009 when I moved from Alaska to Bellingham I began Highwaters Media.

Before 1999 I have trained with an Iditarod Dog Musher in Alaska, built a log cabin to live in and managed a glacier-based tour business. I also have worked in non-profits, at a Montana dude ranch, and as a cedar shake sider on Cape Cod.
